Hail & Greetings, The Knights and Men at Arms of the Holy Order of the Hill of Megiddo bid you welcome, and thank you for your interest in our business. We are a living history group. This means our focus is on historical European combat methods. Our Fechtmeisters (instructors) train only on these western martial arts and ensure safety in this highly dangerous and competitive environment. These methods date back over a thousand years and have stood the test of battle (students of an inferior form don’t live to teach others).
Most martial arts include some form of mysticism. If you study Kenjitsu or Iado you will study Zen . If you study Kung fu you will study Buddhism . This is no different. If you study with us you will study Christianity. This is not optional. As a student of several forms I have studied diligently religions that are not my own because the instructor said that that is how it is done.
“The way of the warrior is such that in time a man may study many ways and grow only more in tune with his own." This is true of anything that is called "a way.” This statement was the only explanation of this concept that I was ever offered. Thus it is the only explanation I will offer.
It is the way of men to build up great monuments of wood and stone and say to the King "Go live there." This is not our way. In the Order, we build monumental men and say to the King "Come live in us."
